Description
Australian Black Kite fly’s above me at the correct moment.
I love bird photos but they are so dam difficult to capture, you can take hundreds of photos and still end up with nothing, that is once you are ready to capture the bird and get the gear set up, which can take a few minutes. All the time they need to fly away.
What usually happens is you select the right lens and settings and the thing fly’s away. Because Quality is everything I don’t often consider my photographs of the standard that I would except.
If I don’t think any of my Australian wildlife or Landscape photos are good enough I wont offer them for sale.
Some info on the Black Kite
Black kites are found thought the Australian outback and would be described as a medium-sized bird of prey, they are raptors. They are aggressive in there hunting style and will go for nearly anything that presents its self. There is nothing nicer that looking at these great hunters soaring in the skye looking for pray. I am no bird expert but it is amazing just how much you can learn from a good field book.
By Memory and I could be wrong I photographed this beauty near Rainbow Valley just south of Alice Springs.
